When you file an email against an opportunity an Activity record is created and marked against the opportunity and any linked Account and/or Contact.
Compose Mode
You can Save emails before sending them. This saves having to switch to the Sent Items folder to save an email you sent (or are sending). Note this will not set the Filed flag on the email in the sent items.
Email Saved Flag
Emails that have already been Filed/Saved to Creatio will have this Orange email icon as a flag
Limitations
- Email attachments over 5mb cannot be uploaded (Out of the box but can be configured)
- Email attachments with the following file extentions ONLY will be uploaded (Out of the box but can be configured)
doc,docx,rtf,odt,pages,pdf,xls,xlsx,xlsm,xlsb,csv,ods,ppt,pptx,ppsx,txt,log,json,md,config,zip,rar,7z,gz,pjp,pjpeg,jfif,webp,tif,bmp,png,jpeg,jpg,gif,ico,xbm,dib,emz,jfif,heic,ai,eps,jpe,cod,ief,ras,cmx,pnm,pbm,pgm,ppm,rgb,xpm,xwd,mp3,wav,mp4,mov,wmv,bpmn,frx,msg,vcf,ics,p7s,p7m,wmz,mso,dwg,mpp,step,vsd,vsdx,psd,gbt,prn,stp,rdp,dtf
Attachment rejection
Attachments filed may be rejected by the Creatio system as it checks the file contents correspond to the file extension.
Various messages like "The extension of the file does not correspond to the file type signature" and "The [html] file extension is forbidden by security settings. If you need to work with such files, please contact your system administrator to remove the extension from the [File extensions DenyList] (FileExtensionsDenyList) system setting" may be seen.
An example of a file that might show this when opened in excel
so ideally users should verify files before trying to save the email to Creatio.
